ATTACKED BY STREET DOGS

The incident took place in an empty land on Hisar Altı 1st Avenue in Sümbül Efendi Neighborhood around 06:00. According to the allegations, Ayhan Özçelik (40) was attacked by a large number of street dogs while walking in the empty land. Ayhan Özçelik, who was injured in various parts of his body and neck, shouted for help, and the cleaning workers affiliated with Fatih Municipality rushed to his aid.

BRUTALLY KILLED

Upon the notification, the police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Özçelik, whose initial intervention was made at the scene, was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Despite all the interventions made, Özçelik lost his life.

"STREET DOGS ATTACK US WHILE GOING TO WORK"

Erhan Sürgit, a relative of Özçelik, said, "The municipality workers called us. They said that our relative was torn apart by dogs here. The health workers took our relative to the hospital. 15 dogs tore the child apart. The dogs shattered his neck, there was a wound on his left side. The dogs bit and tore his throat. I applaud those who support stray animals. 15 street dogs tore apart a man who was looking for a job. Even when we go to work, street dogs attack us. The same dogs tried to attack my 8-year-old daughter in the same place," he said.
