The passenger plane belonging to Ajet, which was on the Trabzon-Bursa route, failed to open its landing gear when it descended to land at Bursa Airport. As a result, the pilot of the plane had to make an emergency landing at Istanbul Airport. The passengers were sent to Bursa from Istanbul Airport by road.

The plane with the flight number VF4517, which took off from Trabzon at 10:55, did not land at Bursa Yenişehir Airport due to the failure of the landing gears to open. The pilots of the plane, which passed over the runway here, contacted the Istanbul Airport Air Traffic Control Tower and requested permission to land. The air traffic controllers at the tower gave permission for the AJet plane to land. The pilot, who passed over the runway on the first attempt, landed smoothly at Istanbul Airport on the second attempt. Firefighters and medical teams were sent to the area where the plane landed as a precaution.
PASSENGERS SENT TO BURSA BY ROAD
The passengers who got off the plane went to Istanbul Airport Domestic Arrivals Terminal to pick up their luggage. It was stated that the passengers would be sent from Istanbul Airport to Bursa by road, and a plane from Ankara was taking off towards Bursa to pick up the passengers going from Bursa to Trabzon. The plane that made the emergency landing was taken to the hangar for maintenance.

Yavuz, who stated that the plane could not land when approaching Bursa Yenişehir Airport and ascended again, said, "The pilots suddenly gave gas to the engines and directed towards Lake İznik. I realized that something was wrong and I was a little scared, to be honest. Then it turned back to Yenişehir Airport again. When it saw that it was not going to work again, it descended and turned towards Istanbul Airport. Just when it was about to land, it also passed over the runway at Istanbul Airport.
