Under the investigation launched against accounts sharing derogatory and obscene content towards women under the name "social experiment," the phenomenon known as Taylan Özgüç Danyıldız, referred to as "Testo Taylan," was arrested for the crime of "publicly inciting hatred and hostility."
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Press Crimes Investigation Bureau took action following images shared on social media platforms that drew significant backlash. Investigations revealed that content shared through videos titled "Social Engineering Academy" and related accounts belittled women under the guise of entertainment and attempted to normalize acts of harassment.
EFFORT TO NORMALIZE HARASSMENT TOWARDS WOMEN
In a statement made by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that the aforementioned shares contained obscene behaviors that belittled women in the eyes of society. It was expressed that the content was of a nature that would undermine public morality and that aggressive attitudes towards women were being attempted to be portrayed as 'ordinary' by reaching large audiences.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION: DIGITAL MATERIALS SEIZED
Within the scope of the investigation, content producers Y.H. and U.U., who were charged with "Inciting Hatred and Hostility in the Public" and "Obscenity," were detained in Istanbul. Taylan Özgüç Danyıldız, known as "Testo Taylan," who disseminated the relevant video to a wide audience through his account, was detained in Kocaeli. All digital materials belonging to the suspects were seized during searches conducted at homes in Istanbul.

The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated that the judicial process against such actions targeting human dignity and public order is being carried out meticulously, and conveyed the message that the fight against content that undermines social peace will continue with determination.
2 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
After the procedures at the police station, content producers Y.H. and U.U., who were referred to the courthouse yesterday, were arrested by the court and sent to prison. Taylan Özgüç Danyıldız, known as "Testo Taylan," was also arrested at the courthouse he was referred to today.
