The 112-year-old club has been left without an owner.

Karşıyaka, one of Turkey's oldest clubs with a history of 112 years, has been left without ownership following a controversial extraordinary general assembly. The club has been abandoned, unable to find a president or management. It was stated that as a result of the congress, no one remained in the administration, and no decisions regarding transfers or departures in any branch could be made. The club will be working to find a new management and overcome financial difficulties by December 24th.

Karşıyaka, one of Turkey's oldest clubs with a history of 112 years, has been left without a caretaker. The tree of İzmir was abandoned after failing to find a president and management at its controversial extraordinary general assembly.

At the controversial extraordinary general assembly held yesterday, as expected, the management remained without a caretaker as no candidates emerged. After experiencing crises in recent months, Kaf-Kaf, which was dragged into chaos by failing to find a president and management at the congress, decided to hold another congress on December 24, Tuesday. While the congress held at Zübeyde Hanım Wedding Hall was tense, the current management, which took office on June 1 after all members except for 5 had resigned, was acquitted. With no one left with signing authority, Karşıyaka, which cannot make transfer decisions or part ways with any branch, will race against time to find a new management and overcome its difficulties within 20 days.

A SOLUTION WILL BE SOUGHT BY DECEMBER 24

Kaf-Kaf, which has overcome salary issues in its volleyball branch, must generate resources for the urgent payments of its basketball and football teams by December 24. Kaf-Kaf will have to find both management and solutions by that date. The basketball team, which had boycotted training throughout the week due to delayed salaries, received the salaries that were supposed to be paid on November 25 with the contributions of important figures in the community and the Yaşar Family, preventing the team from disbanding. However, around 21 million TL will need to be generated again by December 25. The football team players, who will enter the mid-season break, are waiting for their delayed advance payments. This season, Karşıyaka is competing at the top of different leagues with its three teams in football, basketball, and volleyball, and will try to find resources to prevent the teams from disbanding.

CANDIDATE NOT FOUND

After the team was formed at the beginning of the season, Karşıyaka, which could not convince Pınar, the sponsor that had been associated with basketball for 26 years, to return, and could not find another sponsor, is facing urgent payments, a historical debt burden from the past, and current tax debts for which the managers are held individually responsible, making it difficult to find a new management. İlker Ergüllü, who has been the president since the middle of last season and has an unsecured receivable of over 60 million TL from the club, and former president Turgay Büyükkarcı are mentioned as potential candidates, but both are cold towards taking office in the current situation. There are claims that a group has offered the presidency to former manager Mehmet Karal and that an international construction company is being sought as a sponsor.

CAPTAINS LEFT, HAKAN RETURNED

Despite being in second place in the points table of the TFF 3rd League 1st Group, Karşıyaka has distanced itself from the championship race due to losses in the last 5 weeks. Team captains Cenk Ahmet and Onur Akbay have been given leave until the mid-season break, while Hakan Barış, who was suspended, has been forgiven.
