It has been determined that the 30 million dollars stolen from the trunks of two vehicles in Bakırköy belongs to Bilal Durmaz, the son of Atilla Durmaz, the owner of Taç currency, who is mentioned as a 'trustee' in the corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB). In his statement at the police, Durmaz said, "Due to the nature of my work, depositing and withdrawing money from the bank is cumbersome. I haven't needed this money for 3 months, so it was kept in the vehicles."
Details have emerged in the investigation regarding the 30 million dollars reported stolen from two vehicles in the parking lot of the site in Bakırköy. It has been determined that Bilal Durmaz, who reported to the police, is the son of Atilla Durmaz, the owner of Taç currency, whose name appears as 'trustee' in the indictment regarding corruption against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB). Furthermore, it has been learned that Atilla Durmaz was detained and arrested during money laundering operations conducted in Laleli on October 14.
THEY BROKE THE TRUNKS AND WINDOWS AND STOLE THE MONEY
In an incident that occurred on February 11 in a site located in Şenlikköy Mahallesi, which has 24-hour security, it is claimed that Bilal Durmaz, who lives in the site and operates a currency exchange in the Grand Bazaar, placed 30 million dollars he took from his workplace into bags in the parking lot of the site where he lived. Later, four individuals entered the site by car and went down to the parking lot. The suspects broke the trunks and windows of the two vehicles in the parking lot and stole the bags containing dollars, fleeing the scene.
NOTICED THE SITUATION AND REPORTED TO THE POLICE
Bilal Durmaz, who went down to the parking lot in the late hours, noticed that the doors and windows of his vehicles were broken and the bags were stolen, and reported to the police. Durmaz informed the police officers who arrived at the scene that there was 30 million dollars in the bags. The police, who conducted an investigation in the site and parking lot, initiated efforts to capture the four suspects.

It has been learned that Bilal Durmaz, who lives in Bakırköy, had been keeping 30 million dollars consisting of 100 dollar banknotes in the trunks of the two vehicles in the parking lot for a month, claiming he was moving his workplace.
STOLE IN 15 MINUTES
On February 11, four thieves entered the site with a vehicle with fake plates and, within 15 minutes, broke the windows of the two vehicles and loaded 10 bags of money weighing 300 kilograms from the trunk into their own vehicle and fled.
"BANKING IS TROUBLESOME"
Durmaz, who gave a statement at the police station, said, "Due to the nature of my work, depositing and withdrawing money from the bank is troublesome. I didn't need this money for 3 months, so it was left in the vehicles."
