The winners of the 46th Istanbul Marathon have been announced.

The 46th Istanbul Marathon, organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's subsidiary Spor Istanbul and the only marathon in the world that runs between two continents, has started.

STARTED FROM THE METROBÜS STOP

Carrying the title of 'the only marathon run between continents in the world' and classified as 'Gold Label' by World Athletics, the marathon is being held for the 46th time. The marathon started from the metrobüs stop at the entrance of the 15 July Martyrs Bridge.

START GIVEN BY İBB PRESIDENT İMAMOĞLU

The start of the marathon was given by Istanbul Deputy Governor Ünal Kılıçarslan, İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu, Turkish Athletics Federation President Ahmet Karadağ, Turkish National Paralympic Committee President Murat Aksu, General Director of Sports Services of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Veli Ozan Çakır, Istanbul Youth and Sports Director Muhittin Özbay, General Manager of Türkiye İş Bankası Hakan Aran, and General Manager of Spor Istanbul İ. Renay Onur.

THEY WILL REACH GALATA BRIDGE

Athletes competing in the 42 kilometers will separate from the Beşiktaş junction after crossing the bridge and will descend to Beşiktaş via Barbaros Boulevard. They will follow the coastal road, passing by Beşiktaş Tüpraş Stadium and Dolmabahçe Palace. The athletes, who will follow Meclisi Mebusan Street, Fındıklı, Tophane, Kemeraltı Street, Tuesday Market, and Karaköy road, will reach Galata Bridge.

THE RACE WILL END IN FRONT OF SULTANAHMET MOSQUE

Athletes turning towards Sirkeci from the bridge will follow the coastal road via Kennedy Avenue. They will pass through Sirkeci, Cankurtaran, Kumkapı, Yenikapı, Yedikule, Zeytinburnu, and Bakırköy, following Rauf Orbay Avenue, and will turn back from the Air Force Academy vehicle evacuation gate. Athletes continuing along the coast will pass through Gülhane Park and complete the race in front of Sultanahmet Mosque.

A PUBLIC RUN WILL ALSO BE HELD

In the organization with the participation of over 40 thousand people, in addition to the 42K where elite athletes will compete, a Public Run, a 15K Run, and a Corporate Run are also being held.
