The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has decided to freeze the assets of 16 foreign nationals in Turkey based on reasonable grounds that they provided financing to terrorist organizations.
The presidential decree regarding the freezing of the assets of the 16 individuals has been published in the Official Gazette. The decree, signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is stated to have been taken under the provision of the law on the prevention of terrorism financing, specifically the section on "Requests made by foreign states."
