There has been a decline in the balances of Currency Protected Deposits. The total balance of Currency Protected Deposits of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has decreased to approximately 51.1 billion dollars. The CBRT published the results for August regarding the stock balances of Foreign Currency Convertible Currency Protected Deposit/Participation (DDKKM) and Turkish Lira Currency Protected Deposit/Participation (TL KKM) accounts. According to the data, the total stock balance of DDKKM decreased by 6.1 billion dollars in August, falling from 57.1 billion dollars to 51 billion dollars. DECLINE IN REAL AND LEGAL ENTITY ACCOUNTSThe stock balance of real person DDKKM decreased by 3.8 billion dollars, falling from 41.1 billion dollars to 37.3 billion dollars, while the stock balance of legal entity DDKKM decreased by 2.3 billion dollars, dropping from 16 billion dollars to 13.7 billion dollars. The stock balance of Turkish Lira KKM also fell in August by 4 billion lira, decreasing from 7.9 billion lira to 3.9 billion lira. The announced data indicated that the total KKM balance is approximately 51.1 billion dollars.
