A citizen who went to a beauty center to have a tattoo removed allegedly suffered second-degree burns due to a faulty procedure. The beauty center staff, to whom he explained the situation, suggested to the citizen, "If you are in a lot of pain, buy painkillers from the pharmacy."
Yasin Taş, who lives in Antalya and works in vehicle wrapping, wanted to remove the rose tattoo on his left hand while he was in his hometown Batman before the New Year. During his research in Batman, Taş reached a beauty center, where the first session of the tattoo removal process was performed with laser on December 17.
A few days later, after the second procedure at the same beauty center, the young man developed burns and blisters on the skin in the area where the laser was applied on his left hand.
SECOND DEGREE BURN OCCURRED ON HIS HAND
The staff at the beauty center advised Taş to use the cream they provided and to take painkillers from the pharmacy if he experienced pain. In response to the attitude of the beauty center staff, the young man went to the hospital, where doctors indicated that a second-degree burn had occurred in the area where the procedure was performed and referred him to Plastic Surgery. During the examinations, it was stated that the damage to Taş's hand was significant and that skin and tissue grafting was necessary. Taş, who stated that he was a victim due to the faulty application of the beauty center he visited to remove his tattoo, said he would file a complaint against the company with the prosecutor's office.
SKIN GRAFTING WILL BE PERFORMED ON THE DAMAGED AREA
Taş, who stated that the beauty center claimed there would be no trace left after the tattoo was removed but that he developed severe burns on his hand and there would be a scar, said, "I went to a beauty center to remove my tattoo. It got really bad in the third session. I developed second-degree burns on my hand. I work in vehicle wrapping, and we usually deal with water, and right now I am unable to use my hand. The doctors are referring me to Plastic Surgery. They say that skin will be added to the burned area," he said.
HE WAS SHOCKED BY THE RESPONSE HE RECEIVED
Taş stated that he called the beauty center due to the burns on his hand after the second session of the laser application and was shocked by the response he received, saying, "I wish I hadn't done it, I wish I hadn't removed it. I regret both. They said there would be no scar, but now there will be a scar on my hand. When I called, they told me to go to the pharmacy and get painkillers if my hand hurt a lot and to use the creams they provided. They said they work at a high level and that's why it is like this. They know they have their own mistakes. I am a victim, and we will also file a complaint against the beauty center," he expressed.
