Sunjay Kapur, a 53-year-old Indian businessman and close friend of Prince William of England, died after going into anaphylactic shock from swallowing a bee that flew into his mouth during a polo match.
Prince William's billionaire friend, 53-year-old Sunjay Kapur, collapsed during a match at the Guards Polo Club in England and passed away.
"I SWALLOWED SOMETHING"
According to a report by the Telegraph, Kapur, who was born in India, told his teammates during the match, "I swallowed something." It was determined that Kapur had swallowed a bee and went into anaphylactic shock, leading to his death.
HE WAS THE CHAIRMAN OF A GIANT COMPANY
Kapur was the chairman of the global automotive parts giant Sona Comstar. In a statement from Sona Comstar, the following was expressed: "We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our chairman, Mr. Sunjay Kapur. He was a visionary leader who shaped the identity and success of our company with his passion, insight, and dedication."
HE WAS A FRIEND OF PRINCE WILLIAM
Kapur, who was also a friend of Prince William, was an avid golf enthusiast. Kapur passed away during the semi-final of the Cartier Queen's Cup played on June 12 at Smith's Lawn, during the match of the Aureus team against the Sujan Indian Tigers. The Guards Polo Club, closely associated with the royal family, expressed deep sorrow over Kapur's sudden death and released a condolence message to his family and team.
