Due to the storm in Rize, giant waves formed in the Black Sea, crashing over the rocks in the Çayeli district and reaching the coastal road. Drivers faced difficult moments due to the water flooding the road and the stones of various sizes carried by the waves. A citizen from Rize, who recorded the terrifying moments, conveyed the events to the viewers by saying, "My fellow citizen, stop! The waves are coming, stop!"
In Rize, snow was effective in the high parts of the city, while a storm impacted the coastal areas. The waves, reaching up to 10 meters in places due to the storm in the Black Sea, overflowed the rocks in the Çayeli district and reached the coastal road.
THE SEA OVERFLOWED ONTO THE ROAD
Giant waves filled the road with water. As stones of various sizes carried by the waves filled the road, drivers experienced difficult moments, and transportation was disrupted. The highway teams closed the road to traffic during moments when the waves intensified and warned the drivers. The teams started cleaning work with heavy machinery in the area where traffic was controlled.

The reactions of a Rize resident to the overflowing sea on the road made viewers laugh. A citizen who recorded the fearful moments on video said, "They should close the road. An accident will happen here. My fellow citizen, slow down. My fellow citizen, stop! Bataysun stop! Don't come. The road is messed up, it's closed," warning both drivers and humorously conveying the events to the viewers.
