The distinguished observer day of the Blue Homeland-2025 Exercise, organized by the Naval Forces Command in the Black Sea, Aegean Sea, and Eastern Mediterranean, has begun. TCG ORUÇREİS IS PARTICIPATINGThe frigates participating in the exercise departed from the Aksaz Naval Base in Marmaris, Muğla, starting in the morning hours. TCG Oruçreis, the first ship modernized under the Barbaros Class Frigate Mid-Life Modernization Project, also participated in the exercise. SAS TEAMS HAVE DEPLOYED TO THE REGIONThe TCG Salihreis frigate, which includes Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and the Force Commanders, was saluted with 19 cannon shots by the TGC Oruçreis frigate waiting at the port exit. As part of the exercise's "Tactical Claw Operation," SAS teams were deployed to the region by helicopter. After the assault on the shore with boats, SAT teams planted a flag on Marmaris Yılancık Island. The SAT teams in the water were picked up by helicopter using the "grape cluster" method. The SAT teams that descended from the helicopter with ropes onto the TCG Göksu frigate provided security for the ship as per the scenario. In the exercise, as part of the material transfer at sea, Ada-class corvettes TCG Burgaz and TCG Büyükada conducted material transfer with TCG Salihreis. 90 SHIPS, 20,000 PERSONNEL ARE PARTICIPATINGMinister of National Defense Yaşar Güler congratulated the female non-commissioned officers from the information technology, logistics, and administrative class who participated in the Naval Forces Command for the first time as part of the external non-commissioned officer procurement in 2023, wishing them continued success. The "Blue Homeland-2025" exercise, organized ahead of Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis's expected visit to Turkey in February, involves 90 ships, 50 aircraft, and 20,000 personnel.
