In a secret grave in the Sinaloa state of Mexico, the bodies of 5 out of 10 miners who were kidnapped by unidentified armed individuals, believed to be gang members, have been found. Public safety officials announced that 4 people have been detained in connection with the incident and an investigation has been launched.

FOUND IN A SECRET GRAVE
According to news in the national press, the bodies of 5 out of the 10 kidnapped miners were found in a secret grave in the town of Concordia in the northwestern state of Sinaloa, Mexico.
4 PEOPLE DETAINED
Omar Garcia Harfuch, the Minister of Public Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), stated in a press release that 4 people have been detained in connection with the incident and that they are working to clarify the case.
MINERS MISTAKEN FOR GANG MEMBERS
Harfuch expressed that the detained individuals belong to a criminal organization called "Los Chapitos" and that they mistook the miners for members of "Los Mayos." Reports in local media indicated that the murdered miners were kidnapped under the impression that they were members of Los Mayos.
CONFLICTS CONTINUE
It is reported that there have been conflicts between the Los Chapitos and Los Mayos gangs for some time due to control over drug routes. The Mexican Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR) announced that a large-scale investigation has been launched regarding the 10 kidnapped miners.
