In the Batıkent neighborhood of Şanlıurfa, teams dispatched in response to a report of a power outage found the body of a young man who had been electrocuted in a broken transformer. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.

In Şanlıurfa, teams responding to a report of a power outage encountered the body of a person who had been electrocuted inside a transformer, part of the wall of which had been broken. The incident occurred yesterday evening in the Batıkent neighborhood. Due to the power outage in the neighborhood, teams from the electricity distribution company noticed that a portion of the transformer wall had been broken.

THE BODY WAS TAKEN TO THE FORENSIC MEDICINE INSTITUTION FOR IDENTIFICATION

Teams entering the transformer found a person lying motionless on the ground. Upon notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that the young man, whose name has not been disclosed, had lost his life. An examination revealed that the individual, who had no identification on him, had been electrocuted. The body was taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institution for identification and autopsy procedures.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
