The members of the band Manifest were charged with "indecent behavior," facing a prison sentence of 6 months to 1 year. The 49th Criminal Court of First Instance in Istanbul sentenced the group members to 3 months and 22 days in prison each. The announcement of the verdict was postponed. Additionally, the judicial control in the form of a travel ban for the members was lifted.
The popular music group Manifest has been in the spotlight recently. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced on September 6 that an investigation had been initiated ex officio for "indecent acts" and "exhibitionism" due to the dance and performances at Manifest's concert in Küçükçiftlik Park.
As part of the investigation, the group members who provided statements were released under judicial control with a travel ban and signature requirement.
