FOUND ON THE 15TH DAY OF SEARCHES
In a statement made by the Gaziantep Governorship, it was stated, "On the 15th day of the search, a body, believed to belong to a child, was found face down in the Euphrates River south of the Kırkak area in Elif neighborhood, upon receiving a tip-off. The body was located by the Rumkale Gendarmerie Public Order Boat Team, and necessary security measures were taken. Following the incident, the body was identified by father Murat Özdemir, confirming that it belonged to Onurcan Özdemir." The couple Murat and Aynur Özdemir had initiated search and rescue operations by many teams for their autistic son Onurcan Özdemir, who went missing in the rural Hasanoğlu neighborhood on May 24.
