One of Turkey's leading textile manufacturers, Baltalı Group, has decided to close two production facilities due to contraction and a lack of orders.

The crisis in the textile sector is deepening. The news that has shaken the sector, following bankruptcies and the relocation of production by large-scale companies to Egypt, came from Baltalı Group.

CLOSING TWO FACTORIES

Deniz Tekstil, which operates under the Baltalı Group and is one of Turkey's largest textile companies, has decided to close its factories in Hocalar, Afyonkarahisar, and Çal, Denizli, due to financial problems. According to a report by İbrahim Alayont from DRT TV, Baltalı Group has decided to close two production facilities due to the contraction in the textile sector.

"WE WILL REOPEN THE FACTORIES IF ORDERS INCREASE"

The Chairman of the Group's Board of Directors, Derya Baltalı, announced that the clothing factories in Hocalar, Afyon, and Çal, Denizli, were closed due to decreasing orders and economic conditions.

Baltalı stated, "If orders increase, we will reopen the facilities we have closed. The decision to close the factory we opened in Çal in 2018 has no political or local government-related implications."
