In the investigation regarding the murder of Mihriban Yılmaz in Izmir and her burial in the forest, the brother of the suspect was also arrested. The prosecutor's office stated that the brother participated in the act of murder by assisting his older brother, and that the secret communications within the family strengthened the suspicion of a crime.
The investigation into the murder of Mihriban Yılmaz, committed on December 29 in Izmir, and the subsequent murder of Naile Büşra Sarıgül has gained a new dimension.
THE BROTHER'S FINGERPRINT WAS ALSO FOUND
After the incident, the main suspect F.I. was arrested, and a thorough investigation revealed that his brother O.I. also played an active role in the event. The prosecutor's decision emphasized that O.I. participated in the intentional killing act carried out by his brother F.I. as an 'aider.'
FAMILY COMMUNICATIONS REVEALED
The background of the murder was illuminated by the digital messages exchanged among the suspects. It was determined that uncle K.I. sent a message to the suspect's brother O.I., saying, "I'm not afraid of the old one, I'm afraid of this one," to which O.I. responded, "Don't make a sound." These dialogues strengthened the claim that the murder was known within the family and that O.I. supported his brother in hiding evidence or continuing the act.
SENT TO PRISON
The prosecutor's office pointed out the strong suspicion of crime regarding O.I.'s involvement in the incident that occurred on August 3, 2023, alongside his brother. It was noted that examinations of the suspects' mobile phones were ongoing and that new names could be added to the case, while O.I. was arrested and sent to prison by the court.

On the other hand, it was determined that the suspect F.I. tried to establish an emotional connection with Naile Büşra Sarıgül, whom he killed, but was rejected. Contrary to F.I.'s claim of "We were lovers," there was no emotional connection found between the two in the phone records. Witnesses stated that F.I. constantly invited Sarıgül for tea but was rejected every time, contradicting the suspect's defense.
