While the fire was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center, the flames grew rapidly, and the bus driver Ahmet Saral intervened with a fire extinguisher. The fire brigade and police team were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The fire brigade teams, who arrived at the scene in a short time, extinguished the fire that broke out in the engine part of the bus after 30 minutes of work. SAVED THEIR LIVES BY EVACUATING THE PASSENGERS ON TIMEWhile the bus became unusable, the timely evacuation of the passengers by the driver Ahmet Saral prevented a disaster. Saral, who stated that smoke was coming out of the back of the bus while in motion, said, "I pulled the bus over immediately and evacuated the passengers so that they wouldn't get hurt. Then I intervened with a fire extinguisher, but it wasn't enough. Some truck drivers passing by also helped, but we couldn't extinguish the fire successfully. The fire brigade arrived quickly and extinguished the fire. The bus suffered material damage. Fortunately, there were passengers on the bus and no one was harmed," he said. The police have launched an investigation into the fire.
