In the Konak district of İzmir, a car driven by an intoxicated driver rapidly entered a sloped street with stairs, resulting in an accident that even damaged a parked car and surrounding buildings. The incident occurred this morning on 249th Street in the Piri Reis neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a Fiat Punto driven by a driver named Ayberk T. crashed into a parked car after descending the sloped street, part of which had stairs. Due to the force of the collision, the vehicles were dragged into the stair section. In the accident, the stair railings and the walls of some nearby buildings were damaged.

The moment of the accident was recorded by the security camera of the nearby buildings. The injured driver, Ayberk T., was taken to Atatürk Education and Research Hospital for treatment. It was learned that his health condition was good. During the examination, it was determined that the driver had a blood alcohol level of 2.68 promille. In his verbal statement, the driver said that he panicked and fled after a motorcyclist told him to pull to the right and exhibited aggressive behavior, and that he fell into the stair section without noticing while fleeing in panic.
