In Şanlıurfa, a 5-year-old child who entered the trunk of his father's newly purchased car became trapped inside when the lid closed. The family, who searched for their child street by street for about two hours, realized the little child was in the trunk upon hearing sounds coming from the vehicle. Firefighters arriving at the scene after the family, who could not open the trunk, called for help, rescued the child safely by removing the back seat.
In the incident that took place in the Seyrantepe neighborhood of Şanlıurfa's Karaköprü district, 5-year-old P.A. entered the trunk of his father's newly purchased car while playing on the street. The small child was trapped inside when the trunk lid closed.
THEY SEARCHED FOR THEIR CHILD STREET BY STREET
After not hearing from their child for a while, the family drove around searching for him in the car. During the approximately 2-hour search, the family noticed sounds coming from the vehicle and realized the child was locked in the trunk.
FIREFIGHTERS RESCUED HIM
Unable to open the trunk lid, the family reported the situation to the firefighters. The teams arriving at the scene reached the trunk by removing the car's rear seat. The child, who was in good health, was rescued after the teams' efforts and handed over to his family.
