A citizen's shopping experience at a famous clothing store has caused a huge stir on social media. The citizen shared the price tag game he noticed while looking for clothes, calling it "outright fraud."
According to the claim; the price of the product, which was initially 299 TL, was shown as if a discount had been applied, and a new label of 999 TL was stuck on it. In other words, the product presented as "discounted" was actually being sold at a higher price. Following the rapid spread of the photo and complaint on social media, many users stated that they had experienced similar situations. Consumers argue that such price tag games are misleading and that prices are inflated under the guise of "fake discounts."
EXPERTS WARN
Experts emphasize that such practices may violate the Consumer Law and urge affected citizens to apply to the Consumer Arbitration Board. If there is inconsistency between the previous and current prices on the labels, legal action can be initiated against the company.
