The claim that Bahçeli met with Ahmet Türk a week before the appointment of a trustee.

MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had a brief phone conversation with Ahmet Türk, who was removed from his position through a deputy, one week before a trustee was appointed to the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality.

According to the news from Ferit Aslan of CEGA Media, Bahçeli asked about Türk's health during the conversation and then ended the call after a short chat.

HE MENTIONED TÜRK AT THE GROUP MEETING

Bahçeli mentioned Türk during his speech at his party's group meeting in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey yesterday. The MHP leader stated, "The exploitation of Mr. Ahmet Türk, who has serious health problems, is of advanced age, and belongs to a prominent family, is a treachery to stir up discord between İmralı and the DEM Party, and is a product of the dark campaign led by the CHP with external connections."

HE SAID "HE SHOULD BE TRIED WITHOUT ARREST"

MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, in a statement he made in January 2017 regarding Ahmet Türk, who was appointed as a trustee and arrested in November 2016, said, "The person who shakes our hand when we come to the Parliament is Ahmet Türk. If 74-year-old Ahmet Türk's illness is at an advanced stage, he should be tried without arrest in a way that allows for his treatment."

Ahmet Türk, who was released from prison in February 2017, responded to Bahçeli's statements about him by saying, "He fulfilled his moral responsibility without making a party calculation. I would like to thank him. If I have the opportunity, we will visit him."
