Former Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen claimed that the new CHP administration has allocated the former official vehicle to the mayor's dog. Türkmen argued that this situation is a disrespect to both himself and the people of Üsküdar.

In Üsküdar, AK Party MKYK Member and Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen, who has served from 2014 to 2024, made striking allegations regarding the use of official vehicles by the newly elected CHP municipality. Türkmen claimed that the Passat brand vehicle, which has been used as an official car for years, was replaced and that the vehicle in question was allocated for the mayor's dog.

"HE CHANGED THE OFFICIAL VEHICLE AS SOON AS HE TOOK OFFICE"

Türkmen stated that the CHP mayor changed the official vehicle as soon as he took office, claiming it was "not suitable for his class," and said that a luxury brand minibus was purchased instead. He alleged that this vehicle was specifically allocated for the mayor's dog, indicating that the dog's caretaker and a special officer were present in the vehicle.

"EXTREMELY INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR"

Emphasizing that this situation goes beyond a political debate, Türkmen said, "This is an extremely inappropriate behavior as a human being. I present to the public conscience the allocation of a vehicle that has been used as an official car for years to a dog. This is a disrespect to both us and the people of Üsküdar."

"IT IS AN INSULT TO US"

Regarding the issue, Türkmen also shared an incident he experienced, stating, "Yesterday, while driving in Çengelköy, a vehicle came in front of us. I looked, it was the same car, with the same license plate. The mayor's dog was watching the surroundings from the back window of the vehicle. There was also the dog's caretaker along with a special officer, and the car was at the service of the special dog. Of course, this is a very inappropriate behavior as a human being, beyond politics. I present to the public conscience the allocation of the vehicle we used as an official car to his dog. This is an insult to us and actually an insult to the people of Üsküdar. I want to share this with our citizens," he expressed.
