'I am a landlord with a tenant. Although my own house is close to my workplace, I travel for 1 hour. I have been waiting for my tenant to vacate the house for a year. While my tenant lives in a 3+1 house with a pool for a very low price, I live in an old building that is not earthquake-resistant. My tenant is also demanding 300,000 TL to leave after stating that he will stay in the house for at least another year. Even though I need to live in my own house, I cannot. I am subjected to harassment from my tenant asking for money. The legal process is slow. This slowness puts landlords in a very difficult situation. I am a victim and I want my victimization to be recognized.'

'In 2022, I applied to the court to evict my tenant due to marriage. The court decided on the second hearing, and the eviction was ordered, but my tenant took it to the appellate court. My lawyer says that the decision, which should have come in 3 months, will take 18 to 24 months due to the workload of the appellate court. While I have my own house, I am renting another house for 20,000 TL. I don't know how long this situation will last. My tenant and I are facing each other. I am waiting for a solution.'



"I AM PAYING BOTH RENT AND LOAN"



'I am suffering because of the tenant who has not left the house I bought in 2022. We are waiting for the appellate court's decision. I am renting a house, and my landlord is naturally increasing the rent. Under inflation conditions, I have been paying both rent and a loan for 2 years. The first court gave an eviction order. The tenant appealed, and I am still waiting for the appellate decision. In these living conditions, I have no strength left to endure. We bought a house to get rid of the rent problem, and now I am paying both rent and a loan. I haven't even filed a rent determination case against the tenant living there. I am paying rent by cutting from my child's sustenance. Please let this file be resolved, the decision is already clear. The damage I have suffered for 2 years is enough.'



"I CANNOT USE MY OWN HOUSE"



'Even though I won the eviction case against my tenant, he took it to the appellate court. It has been 1.5 months, and the appellate court has not concluded. I am being victimized in every way. I pay 10,000 TL rent and 9,700 TL mortgage. Even though I own my house, I cannot use it. For this reason, appellate courts should not take this long. I kindly request the Ministry of Justice to conclude my case as soon as possible.'
