The tension regarding inheritance distribution within the Menzil Community continues. As the conflict between the supporters of Serhendi and the Semerkand Foundation spills into the streets, one side threatened the other with the words, "We need to fight against the street dogs. We will quarantine those that are rabid, vaccinate the unhealthy ones, and provide food for the healthy ones so that they don't attack left and right."
After the death of Menzil Community leader Abdülbaki Erol, the dispute over the inheritance among his sons continues. Recently, a fight involving stones and sticks broke out among the brothers during construction work in a section of the Menzil Mosque.
PROTEST DEMONSTRATION IN ISTANBUL AND SAKARYA
Following the fight, supporters of the Serhendi Foundation protested in Istanbul and Sakarya after the Semerkand Foundation requested rent from the buildings used by the Serhendi Foundation in Adana and Antalya, and the Semerkand Complex in Kavacık, Istanbul was closed for renovations.
"YOU MADE THE PROPERTY OF THE UMMAH AN INHERITANCE"
The group gathered in front of the Sakarya Semerkand Cultural Center held up banners reading "We do not forgive those who attack the mosque" and chanted the slogan "You made the property of the ummah an inheritance."
"WE WILL QUARANTINE THOSE WHO ARE RABID"
On the other hand, a threatening statement came from the opposing group regarding those who organized protests in the streets. In a video they released, the group stated, "We need to fight against the street dogs. We will quarantine those who are rabid, vaccinate the unhealthy ones, and feed the healthy ones so they don't attack left and right."
