The lawsuit filed for the cancellation of the 9th Ordinary Grand Congress of the Felicity Party, held on November 24, 2024, at the Ankara Atatürk Sports Hall, was rejected by the court.

While the debates over the "absolute nullity" regarding CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress continue, a similar judicial process has now occurred in the Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi). The lawsuit filed claiming that the party's 9th Ordinary Grand Congress was conducted contrary to procedure has been concluded.

APPOINTMENT OF A TRUSTEE HAD BEEN DEMANDED

In the lawsuit filed by former Van Provincial Chairman Mehmet Necip Yavuzer and accompanying individuals, it was alleged that the Felicity Party's 9th Ordinary Grand Congress, held on November 24, 2024, at the Ankara Atatürk Sports Hall, was conducted contrary to procedure. The plaintiffs requested that the congress be declared invalid and also demanded the appointment of a three-member trustee committee to the party leadership.

THE COURT REJECTED THE APPLICATION

After evaluating the application, the court ruled to dismiss the case. Thus, the demands for the cancellation of the congress and the appointment of a trustee were not accepted. With this decision, the first stage of the legal process regarding the Felicity Party's leadership has been completed.
