While the fight against the forest fire between Orhaneli and Harmancık in Bursa continues, the lush green areas in Gürsu were turned to ashes as the flames were brought under control after 4 days. Speaking about the devastating scene that has affected the region, Gürsu Mayor Işık said, "When the day broke, we once again witnessed the magnitude of the disaster we experienced. Our lungs burned. Words fail to express this pain."
The scenes that emerged after the forest fire in the Gürsu district of Bursa, considered one of the biggest disasters in its history, were heartbreaking. In Gürsu and Kestel, where the fire has been effective for 4 days and the extinguishing efforts have reached their final stage, cooling operations are still ongoing.
THE FOOT OF KATIRLI MOUNTAIN IS PITCH BLACK
The effects of the fire, which was difficult to control in Gürsu and where cooling efforts are still ongoing, were captured from the air. It was observed that the foot of Katırlı Mountain is pitch black and all the beautiful green areas have turned to ashes. Especially, the Gürsu Municipality Recreation Area and the Animal Care Rehabilitation Center, located within the borders of İğdir Neighborhood, faced a serious danger during the fire.

The Mayor of Gürsu, Mustafa Işık, who is fighting against the biggest disaster in its history, stated, "When the day broke, we saw once again the magnitude of the disaster we experienced. Our lungs are burned. We are very sad. Words fall short in describing this pain."
FIGHT CONTINUES ON THE ORHANELİ-HARMANCIK LINE
Meanwhile, the forest fire between the districts of Orhaneli and Harmancık in Bursa is being attempted to be brought under control on its 4th day with aerial and ground interventions.
In the forested area between the Çakmak and Çamoğlu neighborhoods, where flames rose and smoke intensified during the night, teams made great efforts. The teams that quickly intervened in the fire, which descended to the road between the two neighborhoods, managed to escape from being caught in the flames.
LOCAL PEOPLE ARE SUPPORTING THE TEAMS
As the night operations continued on the ground, with the break of day, planes and helicopters also joined the efforts. The teams are trying to halt the progress of the fire with the ongoing operations. The local people are also supporting the teams with water-filled tankers tied to the backs of their tractors.
