The latest status of Yüksel Güran, the mother who received a life sentence in the case of the brutal murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran and is currently held in Erzincan Women's Closed Prison, has emerged.
The lifeless body of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21, 2024, in the village of Tavşantepe, located in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, was found 20 days later buried in a sack in the bed of the Eğertutmaz Stream. The forensic examination revealed that the young child had been beaten to death.
THE FAMILY WAS SENTENCED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT
As a result of a detailed investigation, Narin's mother, Yüksel Güran, her brother, Enes Güran, her uncle, Salim Güran, and the family's neighbor, Nevzat Bahtiyar, were taken into custody. Following the trial of the four arrested individuals, the mother, brother, and uncle were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment. The neighbor, Nevzat Bahtiyar, was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for aiding the crime. The court concluded that the murder was planned within the family and upheld the sentences.
A FOOTAGE OF YÜKSEL GÜRAN IN PRISON HAS EMERGED
After the incident, a recent image of mother Yüksel Güran, who was sent to Erzincan Women's Closed Prison, was leaked to the public. The photo highlighted the exhausted and worn-out appearance of mother Yüksel Güran.
