The Turkish Grand National Assembly's National Defense Commission accepted the Cybersecurity Law proposal, establishing the Cybersecurity Board. The proposal outlines the principles for ensuring cybersecurity and defines the duties of the Cybersecurity Directorate.

The Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) National Defense Commission convened under the chairmanship of Hulusi Akar to discuss the Cybersecurity Law proposal. At the end of the discussions, the proposal was accepted. According to the proposed articles, a Cybersecurity Board is being established. Fundamental principles for ensuring cybersecurity are being determined.

TASKS HAVE BEEN DEFINED

According to the proposal, the duties of the Cybersecurity Presidency are being defined. The authority, duties, and responsibilities of the Presidency are being clarified. The Cybersecurity Presidency will also regulate the procedures and principles that those operating in the field of cybersecurity must adhere to. In order to ensure the cybersecurity of public institutions and organizations, as well as critical public services, necessary infrastructures will be established, operated, and provided with hosting services through secure systems and infrastructures for public institutions and organizations. The implementation procedures and principles for these activities will be determined by the Cybersecurity Presidency. In efforts to ensure cybersecurity, domestic and national products will be prioritized.
