01.05.2025 08:31

The Revenue Administration (GİB) announced that the deadlines for completing the processes related to the National Vehicle Identification System (UTTS) have been extended to June 2 for fuel stations and to June 30 for vehicle owners.

In a statement from the presidency, it was noted that the regulations regarding the UTTS application were determined by the General Communiqué published in the Official Gazette dated October 5, 2023. It was required that the system be started to be used for vehicles acquired through leasing or included in the business and used in the workplace as of May 1.

In this context, it was made mandatory to complete the necessary application and registration processes from the website "utts.gov.tr" by January 31, and to install and start using the Vehicle Identification Unit (TTB) for the mentioned vehicles, the Vehicle Identification Reader Device (TTO) on fuel station pump nozzles, and the Gun Communication Module (TİM) that provides communication between TTB, TTO, and new generation payment recording devices at the stations by April 30.

ADDITIONAL TIME GRANTED FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT COMPLETE THEIR DEFICIENCIES

According to the statement, significant progress has been made regarding the TTO and TİM at fuel stations as well as the installation of TTB on vehicles, and a significant portion of the necessary processes has been completed. However, considering that the application is new and that there are taxpayers who have not completed their transactions, additional time has been granted to taxpayers to complete their incomplete transactions.

FINAL DEADLINE FOR STATIONS IS JUNE 2

The deadline for the necessary application and registration processes regarding TTO, TTB, and other equipment, which must be completed from the website "utts.gov.tr" by January 31, has been extended to June 2.

EXTENDED UNTIL JUNE 30 FOR VEHICLE OWNERS

The date of April 30, which was determined for the installation and usage processes regarding TTO, TİM, and TTB, has been extended to June 2 for transactions related to taxpayers operating fuel stations (installation and usage) and to June 30 for transactions related to vehicle owners (installation and usage).

The following statements were included in the announcement:

In this context, taxpayers operating fuel stations are required to complete the necessary registration and application processes by June 2, have TTO and TİM installed at their stations, and ensure communication of these devices with new generation payment recorders to start actual fuel sales through UTTS. Taxpayers must also complete the necessary registration and application processes for vehicles acquired through leasing or included in their businesses and used in the workplace by June 2, and must have TTB installed on their vehicles and start using them by June 30 at the latest.
