The shooting incident that occurred last night in the Erdek district of Balıkesir has caused great sorrow in the area. Usame Sarı, a 20-year-old who was found with serious head injuries, could not be saved despite all the interventions at the hospital where he was taken.
Citizens who saw a person lying motionless on Gazi Süleymanpaşa Street in Yalı Neighborhood reported the situation, prompting health and police teams to be dispatched to the area.
POLICE FOUND HEAVILY INJURED, DIED IN HOSPITAL
Upon arrival, the teams found Usame Sarı severely injured with a gunshot wound to the head. The young man, who received initial treatment at Erdek Neyyire Sıtkı State Hospital, was transferred to Bandırma Training and Research Hospital due to his critical condition. Despite all interventions here, Sarı lost his life.
MURDER OR SUICIDE?
Following the incident, the Erdek District Police Department and crime scene investigation teams initiated a detailed study in the area. While security camera footage from the street and surrounding areas was examined, witness statements were also taken. The exact nature of the incident, whether it was a murder or a suicide, remains uncertain, and Sarı's body has been sent to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institution to determine the exact cause of death.
A comprehensive investigation into the incident is ongoing.
