The debt dispute turned violent.

In Karaova, a district of Bodrum in Muğla, it is claimed that a dispute over a debt began between Aşkın Büyükaşık (33), Mehmet B., and Mustafa İ.

KILLED OVER A DEBT ISSUE

The argument quickly escalated into a fight. After beating and stabbing Büyükaşık, Mehmet B. and Mustafa İ. fled the scene in a car. Health and police teams were dispatched to the area following a tip-off. After the initial intervention by the health teams, Büyükaşık was taken to the hospital but unfortunately passed away despite all efforts.

SUSPECTS CAUGHT RED-HANDED

Following the incident, the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Teams (JASAT) affiliated with the Bodrum District Gendarmerie Command launched a large-scale investigation in the area. The teams examined security cameras in the region and identified the route taken by the suspects by reviewing 5 hours of footage. Two suspects were apprehended at the identified address. It was reported that the procedures for Mehmet B. and Mustafa İ., who were sent to the courthouse, are ongoing.
