BIST 100 STARTED THE DAY WITH AN INCREASE

The Istanbul Stock Exchange started the new day with a positive trend. The BIST 100 index opened the day with an increase of 91.57 points, rising by 0.86% to 10,699.82 points. Following the rejection of the lawsuit regarding the CHP congress, the increase in the index gained momentum, and the growth rate quickly exceeded 4%.

7% JUMP IN BANKING INDEX

The banking index (XBANK) started the day with a rise of 1.75% at 14,337.57 points. After the opening, banking stocks continued to rise, increasing their momentum after the decision and climbing above 7%.

INDEX EXCEEDED 11,000 POINTS

As of 11:20 AM, the BIST 100 index is trading at 11,027.38 points with an increase of 3.95%, while the banking index is trading at 15,089.23 points with a rise of 7.09%. Thus, the Istanbul Stock Exchange has once again surpassed the 11,000-point threshold during the day, recording one of the strongest increases in recent weeks.
