President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a phone call to the national football team in the dressing room after their victory over Czech Republic with a score of 2-1, securing their place as the second team in the group. During the call, Erdogan congratulated the team and specifically praised Barış Alper Yılmaz. The President also criticized the referee, saying, "The referee made a great injustice in the goal we conceded."

The Turkish National Football Team defeated the Czech Republic 2-1 in their third match of the UEFA European Football Championship (EURO 2024) Group F and advanced to the next round as the second team in the group. After the match, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a phone conversation with the national football players and the Head Coach of the Turkish National Football Team, Vincenzo Montella.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TEAM

President Erdogan congratulated the team and wished them success for the match against Austria. The conversation, which took place after the victory, was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Askin Bak, and the President of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), Mehmet Buyukeksi.

Erdogan extended a special congratulations to Baris Alper Yilmaz, who received applause for his performance in the match against the Czech Republic. During his conversation with Yilmaz, Erdogan said, "MashaAllah Baris, I congratulate you. You paralyzed the right side, congratulations." The national football player responded, "Thank you very much. We were very good as a team. The most important thing was to win. We fought very well."
