The DEM Party delegation's meeting with the terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan has ended. The DEM Party announced that the delegation members have returned from İmralı Island after the meeting.

Members of the DEM Party delegation, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Pervin Buldan, Şanlıurfa Deputy Mithat Sancar, and Lawyer Faik Özgür Erol, went to İmralı Island for the 12th time to meet with the terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.

DELEGATION RETURNED FROM İMRALI

In a statement made by the DEM Party regarding the matter, it was noted that the delegation members returned from İmralı Island after the meeting.

The delegation last went to İmralı Island on December 2, 2025, for the 11th time to meet with Öcalan. Since that date, no meetings had been held on İmralı Island.

COMMISSION REPORT EXPECTED

On the other hand, the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission established in the TBMM regarding the "Terror-Free Turkey" process continues its work. The deputy group chairpersons of the parties represented in the commission had met last week.

After the meeting, MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız stated regarding the commission report to be prepared, "We cannot say that the preparations are finished, but it won't take long. I think we will complete it within this month."
