WHAT HAPPENED?MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, in a statement made at his party's Parliamentary Group Meeting on October 22, called on the terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan to dissolve the organization; Bahçeli stated, "(Öcalan) if he shows this determination and resolve, let the legal regulation regarding the use of the 'right to hope' be made, and let the way for him to benefit from it be opened wide." After the call, Öcalan was granted permission to meet for the first time in 43 months, and PKK leader's nephew, Ömer Öcalan, who is a DEM Party Member of Parliament from Şanlıurfa, announced on October 23 that he had met with Abdullah Öcalan.
