First of all, expressing his happiness for reaching the EuroLeague final with the words, "As everyone says, it feels great to be here. Both teams deserve it. The only thing I can say is, may the best team win the trophy," here are the highlights from Tarık Biberovic's press conference:
Question: You have been playing the best basketball of your career for the past month. What does it mean for you that this performance comes at the most important part of the season?
Tarık Biberovic: "We are playing in a system where every player can shine, and we need to take advantage of these opportunities. This is only possible through hard work. You must always keep yourself ready. I am grateful to Saras for this. I was able to play the best games of my career during the most critical period of the season, but this is not something that happens in a day; it develops over time."
Question: How does it feel to be coached by legendary coaches who have achieved countless successes during their playing careers? What does it feel like to have these legends as your coaches?
Tarık Biberovic: "I would like to share a memory from last season: It was my first playoff, and I was quite nervous. The coach noticed this and asked me after the game, 'Are you nervous?' I said, 'No.' He replied, 'Don't lie to me; if you're not nervous, there's a problem.' Their playing background helps them understand us better, and this accelerates the process."
Question: When you made the three-pointer that brought the score to 78-68, Bogdan Bogdanovic was right behind you. How has Bogdan been an inspiration for you?
Tarık Biberovic: "After making the three-pointer that brought the score to 78-68, I didn't realize Bogdan was behind me. Later, my friends asked why I didn't turn around to greet him. Bogdan was one of the players I drew inspiration from when he was at Partizan and Fenerbahçe. Our playing styles are similar. It's really nice to have him here supporting us.
