Buket Özgünlü and the association employee M.S.D., who collected donations for stray dogs through the association, were detained on the night of June 9, 2024, on the allegation of bringing dogs carrying diseases from Şanlıurfa to Ankara. After the interrogation by the prosecutor, they were referred to the Duty Criminal Court with the request for their arrest on charges of "acting against measures related to contagious diseases" and "violating the law on the protection of animals".
