Ebru İncel, whose car broke down in Konya, pulled over to the side of the road and found hundreds of boxes containing medications such as blood pressure medicine, vitamins, insulin, and painkillers.
Hundreds of boxes of medicine were found in a field by the roadside in Konya. It was determined that the medicines found included those for blood pressure, vitamins, insulin, and pain relievers.
HUNDREDS OF BOXES OF MEDICINE FOUND BY THE ROADSIDE
Ebru İncel, who parked her car with the warning light on by the roadside on the Konya-Antalya highway, noticed unused medicine boxes in an empty field, including those for blood pressure, vitamins, insulin, pain relievers, medications used by diabetes patients, and syringes.
"VERY EXPENSIVE MEDICINES"
Ebru İncel, who found the medicines, said, "The warning light came on while we were driving. I stopped safely on the right side. When I stopped, I noticed the tablets on the ground. Then, out of curiosity, I looked to see what it was. I couldn't make sense of it. After taking a few steps with my daughter, we found a lot of medicine. It's both a national treasure and harmful to human health. While our country is also struggling with forest fires, how can we know that glass bottles won't cause a fire? It rained in these areas yesterday, and the medicines got wet. They are already very expensive medicines. There are really valuable medicines among them," she said.
Her daughter, Hayat İncel, stated, "While researching this medicine, I learned that it is used by pregnant women and that a 20-day treatment costs about a thousand lira. These medicines are very expensive, and it's interesting that these discarded medicines have never been used."
