A scandal regarding "circumcision" occurred in the private health cabin located in the Karacaoğlan neighborhood of Şehitkamil district in Gaziantep. Celal Özgenç and his wife took their 4-month-old baby to the mentioned health cabin to have him circumcised.

TRIED 2 TIMES, FLED WHEN HE COULDN'T CIRCUMCISE

According to allegations; a doctor, whose name is unknown and claimed to have come from outside, injected the baby's penis and made incisions but could not perform the circumcision procedure, so he requested the baby to be brought back the next day. The person who is alleged to be a doctor again injected the baby and made incisions the next day but still could not circumcise the baby. The suspect fled after the baby showed signs of bruising on his penis, experienced a severe crying crisis, and upon the family's reaction, he stated that he could not perform the circumcision.

"HE TOLD US 'I CAN'T DO THIS, BRING HIM BACK IN 4-5 MONTHS'"

Celal Özgenç, the father recounting their experience, said that his wife took their youngest son to a private clinic for circumcision. Özgenç stated, "The doctor made 2-3 injections to my son and attempted to make incisions on the penis but could not perform the circumcision. Later, he told my wife to bring the child back the next day. I went with my wife yesterday. The doctor started the circumcision procedure, again tried to inject. I said, 'Don't inject, my son is starting to bruise again. The child is in very bad shape.' The doctor then told us, 'I can't do this, bring him back in 4-5 months.' We started to doubt that this man was a doctor. The person claiming to be a doctor fled the clinic, and I took a picture of him." he stated.

"THE CLINIC OWNER ASKED US NOT TO FILE A COMPLAINT"

Özgenç stated that the individual had lost his trace and that they had filed complaints with the necessary authorities. Father Özgenç said, "The clinic owner told us 'don't file a complaint.' We took our son to another hospital. We also went to the police station and filed a complaint." he said.

"MY SON COULD HAVE DIED"

Özgenç, stating that after two failed circumcision attempts, his son had swelling and bruising on his penis, said, "My son currently has bruising in that area. My son could have died." he said.

"OTHER FAMILIES HAVE ALSO FILED COMPLAINTS"

Özgenç claimed that other citizens had also filed complaints against the person who is alleged to be a doctor, saying, "Families who were treated before us have also complained about this doctor. I want an investigation into whether this doctor is a real doctor. I don't want other families to suffer. This incident could have ended much worse. I am waiting for help from the authorities." he stated.

Police teams have initiated a search operation to capture the person who is alleged to be a doctor as part of the investigation launched regarding the incident.
