The incident that took place in Shanghai, China last year has once again become a topic of discussion on social media. A one-year-old baby had an undeveloped twin removed from their brain. According to an article published in the 'Neurology' journal of the American Academy of Neurology, the baby was brought to the hospital due to motor skill problems and it was noticed that their skull was enlarged. THE FETUS HAD BONES AND NAILSDetailed examinations conducted through imaging techniques revealed that the baby's brain was compressed and fluid accumulation had occurred. Subsequent research revealed that the babies were twins in the womb, but the other fetus did not develop sufficiently and became trapped inside the brain. It was noted that the fetus had developed bones, upper limbs, and nails. AN UNDEVELOPED TWIN WAS FOUND IN THE TESTICLE OF A MALE BABYThe fetus, which was approximately 10 centimeters long, was successfully removed through surgery, and this case became one of the 18 similar cases recorded in medical literature. Previously, in China in 2015, an undeveloped twin was found in the testicle of a male baby, and a similar case occurred in London in 1982.
