Famous theologian Abdülaziz Bayındır, who answers questions from his followers, made a groundbreaking statement regarding the circumcision practice commonly applied in Islamic countries. "THERE IS NO RULING ON CIRCUMCISION IN THE QUR'AN"Bayındır, who stated that "Circumcision is also an obligation for the Jews," made the following assessment: "For example, there is something like this in the Torah. Prophet Ibrahim, obeying God's command, was circumcised on the same day as his 13-year-old son Ismail when he was 99 years old... If Allah has established a ruling on any matter in the Torah, the Qur'an either takes it exactly as it is or takes it in a better way. It has not taken it exactly; there is no ruling on circumcision in the Qur'an. Therefore, if there is no such ruling, it is considered to have been taken in a better way, and it has lifted the ruling of circumcision from us. "THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CIRCUMCISION IN ISLAM"The narration regarding circumcision also comes in the form of 'There are those who were circumcised during the time of Muhammad,' and it has been transmitted by Abu Huraira. There are many confusing statements about this. Abu Huraira is a person who became a Muslim in the 7th year. If there is such a thing as circumcision, would a person who became a Muslim in the 7th year be the one to narrate this? Therefore, according to the principles established by the Qur'an, there is no such thing as circumcision in Islam."
