One of Turkey's largest industrial companies, Pakun, has filed for concordat at the Samsun Commercial Court due to financial difficulties. The company is one of the significant players in the sector, exporting to 50 countries.
Pakun Üretim Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., one of Turkey's most famous food companies, is going bankrupt. In 2023, it was listed among the top 500 companies in Turkey in the Fortune 500 list, and in October, it applied to the Capital Markets Board (CMB) for an initial public offering.
POST-IPO CRUNCH
However, just 3 months later, the company, which entered a financial crunch, filed for concordat at the Samsun Commercial Court. The company is going through a difficult period due to high financing costs and economic troubles. The company's financial situation is being examined by the concordat commissioner board. The upcoming court decision will determine whether the company will go bankrupt or enter a restructuring process.
COMPANY'S FUTURE IN A CRITICAL PERIOD
Pakun's concordat process will be shaped by whether economic commitments are fulfilled. The decision that the court will make in April will determine the company's financial future.
