Galatasaray, which has drawn attention with its successful performance in this season's UEFA Champions League, has boosted its finances following the victory against Bodo/Glimt. The yellow-reds have generated a total revenue of 33 million euros from the Champions League so far.
In the 3rd week of the UEFA Champions League, Galatasaray defeated Bodo/Glimt 3-1 at home, securing their second victory. The yellow-reds had drawn attention by beating Liverpool 1-0 the previous week, and with this victory against the Norwegian representative, they made significant progress in both points and revenue tables.
2.1 MILLION EURO VICTORY BONUS
According to Hürriyet's news, Galatasaray earned an additional 2.1 million euros with the victory over Bodo/Glimt. However, when considering not only the UEFA victory bonus but also ticket sales, the match day revenue from GS Store shops, and stadium revenues, the total earnings exceeded 5 million euros. This translates to approximately 250 million Turkish liras.
TOTAL REVENUE REACHED 33 MILLION EUROS
Last month, Galatasaray was paid 23 million euros as a participation fee for the Champions League. With the victories against Liverpool and Bodo/Glimt, Galatasaray's total Champions League revenue rose to 33 million euros. With this figure, the yellow-reds have become one of the most financially successful teams in the tournament.
