The financial situation of Turkey's four major football clubs has reached astonishing levels. While the clubs incurred a total loss of 1.6 billion euros, the highest loss was recorded by Fenerbahçe at 501 million euros. Among the clubs that suffered a total transfer loss of 310.8 million euros, Galatasaray had the largest deficit at 115 million euros.
The four major clubs of Turkish football, namely Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Trabzonspor, have incurred a total loss of 1 billion 609 million euros over the last 10 years.
THE CLUB WITH THE MOST LOSS IS FENERBAHÇE
During the last 10 years, the club that suffered the most loss was Fenerbahçe. The yellow-navy team incurred a loss of 501.2 million euros and topped the list. Fenerbahçe only made a profit in the 2023-2024 season during this period.
BEŞİKTAŞ'S LOSS
The second club with the most loss is Beşiktaş. The black-and-white team incurred a loss of 397 million euros during this period. The Black Eagle did not make a profit in any season.
GALATASARAY'S LOSS
Galatasaray's loss over the last 10 years was 391 million euros. The yellow-red team was only able to make a profit in the 2023-24 season during this period. Cimbom also had the highest deficit, with a loss of 115 million euros.
TRABZONSPOR'S LOSS
Lastly, Trabzonspor, like Beşiktaş, incurred losses in all of the last 10 seasons. The burgundy-blue team suffered a total loss of 320 million euros during this period.
