In a statement during his party's group meeting, President Erdoğan expressed his satisfaction regarding the ceasefire agreement signed between Hezbollah and Israel, stating, "We are pleased; Israel must fulfill its responsibilities to the letter."

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements at his party's group meeting.

Speaking about the Hezbollah-Israel ceasefire agreement that came into effect today, Erdoğan said, "We are working day and night for peace and tranquility to prevail not only in our region but in the entire world. Turkey's role as a pole in global politics is strengthening day by day. We are making intense efforts to resolve all crises, including the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the genocide in Gaza that has reached its 14th month. We are pleased with the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire. As Turkey, we are ready to contribute in every way for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza," he stated.

Highlights from Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

"WE BECAME UNIFYING, NOT DIVISIVE"

"The world is experiencing the pains of being on the verge of a new and profound change. Our region is burning in the whirlpool of wars and oppressions. In such a climate, we, as the People's Alliance, are facing a historical responsibility. We are fighting to protect stability and our economy. This picture is too important to be limited to the AK Party and the People's Alliance. Those who hold themselves accountable to this nation must give their share and avoid destructive opposition. When it comes to the nation and the state, the rest is detail. We see a common stance being displayed in the world. We have also defended this in our political life. We became unifying, not divisive.

RESPONSE TO KILIÇDAROĞLU'S WORDS

We walked over the obstacles in front of us. Despite the opportunists, we provided Turkey with its most successful years. Today, we are also dealing with the new absurdities of this sick structure. When we do not give them the response they deserve, they raise the bar of insolence. The nonsense and insults thrown by the former chairman of the CHP in the courtroom, like a truck with its brakes released, is the latest example of this.
