The Minister of Justice, Akın Gürlek, held his first meeting with the members of the Judges and Prosecutors Council in his capacity as the President of the Council. Minister Gürlek, who conveyed the message that necessary steps would be taken to shorten the trial durations that citizens are suffering from, said, "With our Judges and Prosecutors Council, we will hopefully take important steps. We will especially contribute to ensuring that delayed judicial processes are concluded in a shorter time."

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek held his first meeting with the members of the Judges and Prosecutors Council (HSK) in his capacity as the President of HSK. Gürlek was welcomed by Vice President Fuzuli Aydoğdu, First Chamber President Turan Kuloğlu, and council members upon his arrival at HSK.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Gürlek stated that significant reforms have been made in the judiciary over the last 23 years, saying, "Under the leadership of our esteemed President, important reforms have been implemented to strengthen our judiciary organization over the past 23 years. Our legislative infrastructure has been improved. Our human resources have been strengthened in terms of both quality and quantity. Our physical and technological capabilities have been significantly increased. All these steps have been taken to provide justice services more quickly and accessibly."

Emphasizing that HSK is the guarantee of judicial independence and impartiality, Gürlek stated, "The Judges and Prosecutors Council is one of the important institutions that guarantee judicial independence and impartiality. With this awareness, we will resolutely continue a transparent and predictable management approach based on merit, competence, and professional qualifications. In the new term, we will continue our reform will with the same determination. We will establish a justice that is based on the rule of law, does not delay, is predictable, and builds trust. On this occasion, I hope that the first council meeting in the new term will be a harbinger of good things."
