A new phase has been entered in the Iran war. Following the heavy bombing of Iran's most critical oil export center, Hark Island, by the U.S., the Pentagon is deploying 2,500 Marines to the region. It was stated that the Marines have set out, and this move was interpreted as the first signal of a ground operation.
As Israel and the US continue their attacks on Iran, a new phase in the war has begun. Following reports that the Washington administration has heavily bombarded Hark Island, one of Iran's most critical oil export centers, it has been reported that the Pentagon has decided to send 2,500 Marines to the region.
MARINES HAVE DEPARTED
Approximately 2,500 Marines from the Marine Expeditionary Unit have departed from their bases in Okinawa, Japan, heading to the region aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli. The USS Tripoli is known to be one of the main platforms used for deploying Marines to the operational area.
FIRST SIGN OF GROUND OPERATIONS
Military sources assess that these units could be deployed to intervene in crises or to establish control in certain areas of Iranian territory if necessary. The fact that Marines are units capable of operating both at sea and on land increases the significance of the deployment.
