In Diyarbakır, a picture taken in 2018 in Tavşantepe village, the village of Narin Güran whose lifeless body was found after 19 days, has resurfaced. In the picture, the former village head had made striking evaluations, stating that the police checkpoint in their village should be removed.

When handed the microphone, the former village head said, "Since the time of Kenan Evren, I have never seen or experienced anything like this. I felt a bit ashamed. Their actions made me feel ashamed."
